QA Specialist
Prisms of Reality is a San Francisco-based team of educators, game developers, and engineers transforming K12 STEM education through experiential real-world problem-solving. We utilize adaptive Virtual Reality (VR) to engage, inspire, and open pathways to creative problem-solving through Math. Our mission is to break down barriers to access and build STEM proficiencies at scale for all students, worldwide.
We are rapidly expanding our team to fast-track the impact of our student-facing VR content libraries and educator-facing data tools to make VR a mainstay in the K-12 classroom.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Prisms is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through thorough testing and analysis. The QA specialist will work independently and cross-functionally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a complete QA program that safeguards product quality and fosters a collaborative and iterative process
Interpret and comply with company QA standards while adapting to the fast-paced nature of a startup
Maintain complaint and nonconformance processing with root-cause analysis and corrective actions while working with other departments to resolve issues quickly
Document QA activities with internal reporting and audits while communicating effectively with stakeholders
Develop improved production and design standards and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines while working cross-functionally to ensure high quality standards
Plan, execute, and oversee product inspection and testing for quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables while working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
REQUIREMENTS
Deep knowledge of QA terminology, methods, and tools
Experience executing QA programs, plans, and processes
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management
Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA (preferred)
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Experience working with mobile virtual reality devices
